Location

The peaceful, pretty village of Hebden lies in Wharfedale, in the spectacular Yorkshire Dales National Park. The scenery arround Hebden is remarkably varied, with peaceful limestone meadows, limestone gorges and waterfalls.

The cottage is in a wonderful location providing the chance to relax and unwind. It is an ideal base from

which to explore the areas many and varied attractions.

 

Hebden is a small friendly village with a friendly pub/restaurant and lovely tea-room.

​Ideally postioned for walkers, cyclists and sightseers alike it is just 1.5 miles from the "Upper Wharfedale capital" of Grassington. Here you will find a bustling cobbled market square, shops, museum, tearooms, pubs and restaurants

Within very close reach are the beautiful villages of Burnsall and Appletreewick. Nearby are Skipton (10 miles), with its historic castle and Pately Bridge (8.5 miles) in neighboring Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Slightly further afield are the elegant spa towns of Harrogate and Ilkley.

Stump Cross Caverns (limestone cave)

 

Grimwith Reservoir (great place for a picnic/birdwatching)

Kilnsey Park - trout farm and fish feeding, fishing, Red squirels, animals. Local produce, tearoom.

Bolton Abbey Estate - beautiful location on river Wharfe.

Haworth- Bronte country - visit the famous sister authors home.

Fountains Abbey - spectacular National Trust site
Brimham Rock - facinating geological site.
